Entrepreneurship and Venture Summit Held

On October 18, the Entrepreneurship and Venture Summit for China’s Access to Internet for 20 Years was held in Jinhua city, Zhejiang province. Over 300 officers and experts from Internet industry and senior investors came together at Jinhua city to look back China’s Internet development in the last 20 years and seek for new opportunities to drive regional Internet economy development.
The Summit was jointly held by China News Service Zhejiang Branch and Internet Society of China (ISC). At the meeting, Report on Jinhua Model for Internet Leapfrog Development in China Middle-sized and Small Cities was released. The report addressed that Jinhua, a middle-sized and small city, successfully developed a model to promote local economy development and drive economy and society transition based on advanced information technology and local superior resources. Jinhua Model draw a benchmark in driving Internet economy development in China middle-sized and small cities, especially in developing e-commerce and driving traditional economy transition.
In recent years, Jinhua witnessed rapid Internet economy development, becoming the demonstration city of e-commerce entrepreneurship, one of the first batch pilot smart cities and one of the information consumption pilot cities.

At the summit, Mr. WU Hequan, the President of ISC and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) delivered a keynote speech. Mr. WU introduced the application of big data in agriculture, manufactory and business etc. with specific cases. Also, he pointed out that there existed some challenges for big data development in broadbandization, intelligentization, mobility, security and credibility.
